Safety Check List
CLC Required Safety Items: Pass/Fail (Fail can mean no-go) EQUIPMENT OR ITEM
- Brake Lights
- Parking Brake - Must be able to stall engine when idling in 2nd gear (3rd gear in 4-speeds).
- Service Brakes - Must be able to stall engine when idling in 1st gear (2nd gear in 4-speeds).
- Tires - All tires including spare must have at least 2/32" of tread. Spare must be fully inflated.Air down to max of 15 psi at time of inspection.
- Roll Bar - Any open vehicle must have a roll bar firmly attached to vehicle.
- Tow Rope or Chain
- Current Vehicle Registration
- Current Liability Insurance Coverage.
- Jack - high-lift type recommended.
- Fire Extinguisher - must show full charge on gauge and/or have seal intact.
- Seat Belts - one set for each passenger.
- First Aid Kit
CLC Optional Items: EQUIPMENT OR ITEM
- Headlights
- Running Lights
- Turn Signals
- Winch & Tow Equipment
- Windshield - No dangerous cracks.
- Horn
- Exhaust System - Must be intact. No open exhaust, excessive noise or excessive smoke.
- Steering - check play in wheel, condition of column & mounting hardware, knuckle arms.
- Hoses & Lines - water, gas, brake lines. Please do not come to a run with a rig that has an excessive leak. Although it will not disqualify you from the run, it has a very damaging effect on the environment.
