Colorado Land Cruisers is a four-wheel drive club based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and sanctioned by Toyota Land Cruisers Association. We are organized to bring together Toyota owning families and individuals interested in exploring Colorado four wheel drive trails.

President's Notes:

Are you ready to go to Pikes Peak National Forest and assist folks, out to cut a Christmas tree, who are stuck? Looks like the 1st weekend will be a run in the dust, with no help needed. The 2nd weekend will hopefully cooperate and at least have a little snow for us to play in. (Here is the major difference between them and us: we view a foot or so of snow on forest roads as something fun to play in) The annual Christmas tree cutting is one of CLC's events which allows us to help our community by providing assistance to folks that get stuck while out on a family weekend. It is a lot of fun, and if you plan to go, make sure you have your chains, tow strap, lots of warm clothing and a lunch.

Another opportunity to help our community this Christmas time has surfaced. Its called Christmas 2000 for Children. It involves buying gifts for underprivileged kids, names provided by DHS, and participating with other area 4WD clubs in delivering the presents Dec 9th. This would be a good event to attend for those not planning to assist in the PPNF Christmas Tree run, which is also on the 9th. Contact Brenda Flowers, of Colorado 4 Wheelers, at flowers@iex.net for more information - but hurry, as time is growing short.

CLC elections are just around the corner in January. Consider taking an active role in the running of your club. Consider running for one of the elected offices. Consider volunteering for the nomination committee, and being active in deciding the direction you want your club to go.

Remember to enjoy four wheeling here in Colorado. Keep the shiny side up, and if the trail you are on doesn't have a white arrow marking it, you can't be on it.
